El Shirota est un groupe de Noise Rock/Post-Hardcore d’AtizapaÌn, Ă©tat de Mexico, formĂ© en 2012 par Ignacio GoÌmez Kurth, Mauricio AvendanÌo, Alonso Salamanca et Emanuel Brenes.
Le lineup actuel est composé de :

After its foundation in 2012, the band debuted in 2013 with Chiluca No Es Satélite EP.
Prior to the release of their first full-length Tiempos Raros (Devil In The Woods, 2020), the band self-released two EPs between 2015 and 2018, as well as singles âTarde/Tempranoâ & âCarreta FuracaÌoâ in 2019, the latter became the #1 song of the year by Reactor 105.7âs annual top 107 list, Mexicoâs most prominent alternative radio station.
Tiempos Raros granted the band critical acclaim which gave them television and video game exposure through Amazonâs documentary series Chivas: El RebanÌo Sagrado as well as Microsoftâs Forza Horizon 5.
In 2022 the Mexican quartet released Niebla EP on 7â vinyl via DIW. The release highlights Alonso Salamancaâs (former bassist of the band) collaboration in Tibio ft. Alo, B-side of the record and the bandâs first exploration between electronic music and its already characteristic Noise Rock/Post-Hardcore sound.
The noise rock quartet has recently shared singles âInfuyenteâ, âAsiÌ No Fueâ and âSegmentacionesâ, which all form part of their upcoming sophomore album Ni siquiera estamos listos para hablar out on May 12 via Devil In the Woods.
